अकस्माद्वीक्षते यस्तु पुरुषं कृष्णपिंगलम् । तस्मिन्नेव क्षणेऽरूपं स जीवेद्वत्सरद्वयम्
akasmādvīkṣate yastu puruṣaṃ kṛṣṇapiṃgalam | tasminneva kṣaṇe'rūpaṃ sa jīvedvatsaradvayam
யாரேனும் திடீரென கருநிற-மஞ்சள் சாயை (கிருஷ்ண-பிங்கல) உடைய ஒருவனைப் பார்த்தால், அந்தக் கணத்திலிருந்தே—அறிகுறி நுண்ணதும் உருவமற்றதுமானாலும்—அவனுடைய ஆயுள் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் மட்டுமே எனச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது.
