anādātā ca dātā ca dāṃtaḥ svādhyāyatatparaḥ | vaitānikaṃ ca juhuyādagnihotraṃ yathāvidhi

Translation

தேவையற்ற தானங்களை ஏற்காதவனாகவும், தானம் அளிப்பவனாகவும் இருந்து, தமனமுடையவனாய் ஸ்வாத்யாயத்தில் ஈடுபட வேண்டும்; மேலும் விதிப்படி வைதானிக கர்மங்களில் ஆஹுதி செலுத்தி, நியமப்படி அக்னிஹோத்ரம் செய்ய வேண்டும்।
