सगुणं वणर्भेदेन निर्गुणं केवलं मतम् । समंत्रं सगुणं विद्धि निर्गुणं मंत्रवर्जितम्
saguṇaṃ vaṇarbhedena nirguṇaṃ kevalaṃ matam | samaṃtraṃ saguṇaṃ viddhi nirguṇaṃ maṃtravarjitam
வர்ண வேறுபாட்டினால் ‘சகுணம்’ என அறியப்படுகிறது; ‘நிர்குணம்’ தூய, தனித்த நிலை எனக் கருதப்படுகிறது. மந்திரம் உடையது சகுணம்; மந்திரமற்றதே நிர்குணம்.
