अप्रयच्छन्समाप्नोति भूणहत्यामृतावृतौ । स्वयं त्वभावे दातॄणां कन्या कुर्यात्स्वयं वरम्
aprayacchansamāpnoti bhūṇahatyāmṛtāvṛtau | svayaṃ tvabhāve dātṝṇāṃ kanyā kuryātsvayaṃ varam
உரிய காலத்தில் கன்னிகாதானம் செய்யாதவன் ஒவ்வொரு மாதவிடாய் காலத்திலும் கருவைக் கொன்ற பாவத்தை அடைகிறான். பாதுகாவலர் இல்லாவிடில், கன்னி தானே கணவனைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கலாம்.
