क्रव्यादा एव सर्वेषु नगरेषु पुरेषु च । आसन्नभ्रंलिहो वृक्षाः सर्वत्र क्षोणिमंडले
kravyādā eva sarveṣu nagareṣu pureṣu ca | āsannabhraṃliho vṛkṣāḥ sarvatra kṣoṇimaṃḍale
எல்லா நகரங்களிலும் புரங்களிலும் கிரவ்யாதர்கள்—மாமிசம் உண்ணும் பயங்கரர்கள்—மட்டுமே இருந்தனர். பூமண்டலமெங்கும் மரங்கள் மேகங்களை நக்குவது போல உயர்ந்து, வறண்டு நின்றன।
