कृशः प्रलंबः स्फुटितो रूक्षो दौर्भाग्यसूचकः । श्यावः स्थूलोऽधरोष्ठः स्याद्वैधव्य कलहप्रदः
kṛśaḥ pralaṃbaḥ sphuṭito rūkṣo daurbhāgyasūcakaḥ | śyāvaḥ sthūlo'dharoṣṭhaḥ syādvaidhavya kalahapradaḥ
கீழ்த் உதடு மெலிந்து மிக நீளமாகவும் பிளந்தும் உலர்ந்தும் இருந்தால் அது துர்பாக்கியத்தின் குறி எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது. மேலும் கருமை நிறமும் தடிமனும் கொண்ட கீழ்த் உதடு விதவைத்தன்மையும் சண்டையும் தரும் எனச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது।
