प्रदेशिनी भवेद्यस्या अंगुष्ठाव्यतिरेकिणी । कन्यैव कुलटा सा स्यादेष एव विनिश्चयः
pradeśinī bhavedyasyā aṃguṣṭhāvyatirekiṇī | kanyaiva kulaṭā sā syādeṣa eva viniścayaḥ
யாருடைய சுட்டுவிரல் (பாத விரல்) பெருவிரலை விட நீளமாக இருக்கிறதோ அவள் ‘பிரதேசினி’ எனப்படுகிறாள். அவள் கன்னியாக இருந்தாலும் குலட்டையாகக் கூறப்படுகிறாள்—இதுவே உறுதியான முடிவு.
