अग्न्याधेयं पाकयज्ञानग्निष्टोमादिकान्मखान् । यः करोति वृतो यस्य स तस्यर्त्त्विगिहोच्यते
agnyādheyaṃ pākayajñānagniṣṭomādikānmakhān | yaḥ karoti vṛto yasya sa tasyarttvigihocyate
தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு மற்றொருவருக்காக அக்ன்யாதேயம், பாகயஜ்ஞங்கள், அக்னிஷ்டோமம் முதலிய யாகங்களை நடத்துபவன், அவனுடைய ‘ரித்விக்’ (யாகப் புரோகிதன்) என இங்கு கூறப்படுகிறான்.
