अग्निकार्यं ततः कृत्वा ब्राह्मणानभिवादयेत् । ब्रुवन्नमुक गोत्रोहमभिवादय इत्यपि
agnikāryaṃ tataḥ kṛtvā brāhmaṇānabhivādayet | bruvannamuka gotrohamabhivādaya ityapi
பின்னர் அக்னிகாரியத்தைச் செய்து, பிராமணர்களுக்கு அபிவாதனம் செய்ய வேண்டும்; ‘நான் இத்தகைய கோத்திரத்தவன்; உங்களுக்கு வணக்கம் செலுத்துகிறேன்’ என்று கூற வேண்டும்.

Scene: A householder or brahmacārin completes a small fire-rite in a clean courtyard; embers glow as offerings are made; afterward he approaches seated brāhmaṇas/elders and performs abhivādana with folded hands, a speech-scroll indicating ‘amuka-gotro’ham’.
