इदं विष्णुरिमं जप्त्वा लिंपेदंगानि मृत्स्नया । मृदैकया शिरः क्षाल्य द्वाभ्यां नाभेस्तथोपरि
idaṃ viṣṇurimaṃ japtvā liṃpedaṃgāni mṛtsnayā | mṛdaikayā śiraḥ kṣālya dvābhyāṃ nābhestathopari
‘இதம் விஷ்ணுஃ’ மந்திரத்தை ஜபித்து சுத்தி மண்ணால் உடல் அங்கங்களைப் பூச வேண்டும்; ஒரு பங்கு மண்ணால் தலையைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்தி, இரண்டு பங்கால் நாபி மற்றும் அதன் மேல்பகுதியைச் சுத்தம் செய்ய வேண்டும்।
