Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee holds a twig/plant implement and a water vessel, reciting a blessing-mantra; around him are symbols of longevity, radiance, and learning—lamp, palm-leaf manuscript, and a calm lunar glow.
Daily purity and prayer seek both dharmic prosperity and higher knowledge—worldly welfare harmonized with spiritual wisdom.
The teaching occurs within the Kāśīkhaṇḍa (Kāśī’s sacred domain), without naming a particular tīrtha in this verse.
A supplicatory mantra addressed to Vanaspati, traditionally linked to using a plant-twig for tooth-cleaning (dantadhāvana).
