dīrghavratā dīrghadṛṣṭirdīptatoyā durālabhā | daṃḍayitrī daṃḍanītirduṣṭadaṃḍadharārcitā

Translation

அவள் நீண்ட விரதங்களில் உறுதியானவள், தூரநோக்குடையவள்; அவளின் நீர் புனித ஒளியால் பிரகாசிக்கும், அவளை அடைதல் அரிது. அவள் தண்டிப்பவளும் தண்டநீதியே; தீயோர்மேல் தண்டம் ஏந்துவோரும் அவளை ஆராதிக்கின்றனர்.
