भूतं भावि भवच्चापि संशयं मा वृथा कृथाः । इत्युक्त्वा पुनराहेशो गंगामाहात्म्यमुत्तमम्
bhūtaṃ bhāvi bhavaccāpi saṃśayaṃ mā vṛthā kṛthāḥ | ityuktvā punarāheśo gaṃgāmāhātmyamuttamam
கடந்தது, வருவது, நிகழ்வது—இவற்றில் வீணாக ஐயம் கொள்ளாதே. இவ்வாறு சொல்லி, ஈசன் மீண்டும் கங்கையின் உத்தம மஹாத்மியத்தை உரைத்தான்.
