ब्रह्मोवाच । गणावसौ द्विजो धीमान्वेदवेदांगपारगः । स्मृत्युक्ताचारचंचुश्च प्रतीपः पापकर्मसु
brahmovāca | gaṇāvasau dvijo dhīmānvedavedāṃgapāragaḥ | smṛtyuktācāracaṃcuśca pratīpaḥ pāpakarmasu
பிரம்மா கூறினார்— “ஓ கணங்களே! இந்தத் த்விஜன் அறிவுடையவன்; வேதங்களிலும் வேதாங்கங்களிலும் தேர்ந்தவன்; ஸ்மிருதிகள் விதித்த ஒழுக்கத்தில் உறுதியாய் நிலைத்தவன்; பாவச் செயல்களுக்கு கடுமையாக எதிரானவன்.”
