Transliteration

mādṛśyo maṃdabhāgyāyāḥ pramadāsu pratiṣṭhitāḥ | kevalaṃ rājapatnītvavādastāsu na tadruciḥ

Translation

என்னைப் போன்ற குறைந்த பாக்கியமுள்ள பெண்ணுக்கு அரண்மனைப் பெண்களிடையே இடம் கிடைக்கலாம்; ஆனால் அங்கே ‘அரசன் மனைவி’ என்பது பெயரளவே—அதில் உண்மையான இன்பமும் மதிப்பும் இல்லை।
