मातामहांस्तथोद्दिश्य तथान्यानपि गोत्रजान् । गुरुश्वशुरबंधूनां नामान्युच्चार्य पिंडदः
mātāmahāṃstathoddiśya tathānyānapi gotrajān | guruśvaśurabaṃdhūnāṃ nāmānyuccārya piṃḍadaḥ
தாய்வழித் தாத்தாக்களை நோக்கியும், அதுபோல் பிற கோத்திர உறவினர்களையும் நோக்கியும், பிண்டம் அளிப்பவன் குரு, மாமனார், உறவினர் பெயர்களை உச்சரித்து பிண்டம் அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும்।
