पुर्यष्टकं च दुष्टेभ्यो देवध्रुग्भ्यो ह्यवंति ते । प्रयच्छंति वरान्नित्यं शिवभक्तजने वराः
puryaṣṭakaṃ ca duṣṭebhyo devadhrugbhyo hyavaṃti te | prayacchaṃti varānnityaṃ śivabhaktajane varāḥ
அவர்கள் துஷ்டர்களிடமிருந்தும் தேவர்களைத் துன்புறுத்துவோரிடமிருந்தும் இந்த அஷ்டபுரியை எப்போதும் காக்கின்றனர். மேலும் அந்த உத்தமர்கள் சிவபக்தர்களுக்கு நித்தமும் வரங்களை அருளுகின்றனர்.
