अनुत्तरं नाम तपो येन तप्तं हि तत्पुरा । त्रीणिवर्षसहस्राणि दिव्यानीतीह नौ श्रुतम्
anuttaraṃ nāma tapo yena taptaṃ hi tatpurā | trīṇivarṣasahasrāṇi divyānītīha nau śrutam
முன்னொரு காலத்தில் அவர் ‘அனுத்தர’ எனப்படும் தவத்தைச் செய்தார். மூவாயிரம் தெய்வ ஆண்டுகள் அந்தத் தவத்தை மேற்கொண்டார்—என்று இங்கு நாம் கேட்டோம்.
