ममाक्षिपसि विप्रोच्चैः किं मया चौर्य कर्मणा । लब्धा मुद्रा त्वदीयेन पुत्रेणैषा ममार्पिता
mamākṣipasi viproccaiḥ kiṃ mayā caurya karmaṇā | labdhā mudrā tvadīyena putreṇaiṣā mamārpitā
அவன் சொன்னான்: “ஓ பிராமணரே! ஏன் இவ்வளவு உரத்த குரலில் என்னை குற்றம் சாட்டுகிறீர்? திருட்டுடன் எனக்கு என்ன தொடர்பு? இந்த முத்திரை மோதிரம் உங்கள் மகனிடமிருந்தே கிடைத்தது—அவனே எனக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.”
