आसीत्कांपिल्यनगरे सोमयाजिकुलोद्भवः । दीक्षितो यज्ञदत्ताख्यो यज्ञविद्याविशारदः
āsītkāṃpilyanagare somayājikulodbhavaḥ | dīkṣito yajñadattākhyo yajñavidyāviśāradaḥ
காம்பில்ய நகரில் சோமயாஜி குலத்தில் பிறந்த, தீக்ஷை பெற்ற யஜ்ஞதத்தன் என்னும் பிராமணன் இருந்தான்; அவன் யஜ்ஞவித்யையில் மிகுந்த தேர்ச்சி உடையவன்.
