त्वदेकपुत्रां हापुत्रकोऽत्र मां त्रायते पुरा । त्वदृते त्वद्गुणोर्म्याढ्ये पतितां शोकसागरे
tvadekaputrāṃ hāputrako'tra māṃ trāyate purā | tvadṛte tvadguṇormyāḍhye patitāṃ śokasāgare
“அய்யோ மகனே! நீயே என் ஒரே மகன்; உன்னைத் தவிர இங்கே என்னை யார் காப்பார்? நற்குண அலைகள் நிறைந்தவனே! நான் துயரக் கடலில் விழுந்தேன்।”
