गृहानायांतमालोक्य गुरुंवाऽगुरुमेव वा । योऽगुरुर्नम्रतां धत्ते स गुरुर्न गुरुर्गुरुः
gṛhānāyāṃtamālokya guruṃvā'gurumeva vā | yo'gururnamratāṃ dhatte sa gururna gururguruḥ
வீட்டிற்கு வரும் குருவையோ குருவல்லாதவரையோ கண்டாலும்—‘அகுரு’ என்றாலும் பணிவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வோனே உண்மைக் குரு; அகந்தையுள்ள ‘குரு’ குருவே அல்ல.
