महिष उवाच । चंडकोप महावीर्य युद्ध्यस्वैनां दुरात्मिकाम् । तथास्त्विति स चोक्त्वाथ चंडकोपः प्रतापवान्
mahiṣa uvāca | caṃḍakopa mahāvīrya yuddhyasvaināṃ durātmikām | tathāstviti sa coktvātha caṃḍakopaḥ pratāpavān
மகிஷன் கூறினான்—ஓ மாபெரும் வீரியமுடைய சண்டகோபா! இந்த துர்மனத்தையுடைய பெண்ணுடன் போரிடு. ‘அப்படியே’ எனச் சொல்லி அந்தப் பெருந்திறல் சண்டகோபன் முன்னேறினான்.
