नानारूपगुणैर्गीतं नारदप्रमुखैर्युतम् । गंधर्वैश्चाप्सरोभिश्च सेवितं तमुमापतिम् । तत्रस्थं च महादेवं प्रणिपत्याब्रवीत्सुतः
nānārūpaguṇairgītaṃ nāradapramukhairyutam | gaṃdharvaiścāpsarobhiśca sevitaṃ tamumāpatim | tatrasthaṃ ca mahādevaṃ praṇipatyābravītsutaḥ
உமாபதி பலவகை வடிவங்களும் குணங்களும் கொண்ட ஸ்தோத்திரங்களால் பாடப்பட்டார்; நாரதர் முதலியோர் உடனிருந்தனர்; கந்தர்வரும் அப்சரஸ்களும் சேவை செய்தனர். அங்கே இருந்த மகாதேவனை வணங்கி மகன் (ஸ்கந்தன்) உரைத்தான்.
