यत्किंचित्कुरुते पापं लब्धुं स्थलमथापि वा । शुष्कार्द्रं वसते चान्ने तस्मादन्नं परि त्यजेत्
yatkiṃcitkurute pāpaṃ labdhuṃ sthalamathāpi vā | śuṣkārdraṃ vasate cānne tasmādannaṃ pari tyajet
யாரேனும் பதவி அல்லது இடம் பெறுவதற்காகப் பாவம் செய்து, உலர்ந்ததும் ஈரமுமான அன்னத்தால் வாழ்ந்தாலும், அவனிடமிருந்து அன்னம் பெறுவதை முற்றிலும் விலக்க வேண்டும்।
