पंचपंचाशद्ग्रामाणां ते द्विजाश्च निवासिनः । चतुर्विद्यास्तु ते प्रोक्तास्तदादि तु त्रिविद्यकाः
paṃcapaṃcāśadgrāmāṇāṃ te dvijāśca nivāsinaḥ | caturvidyāstu te proktāstadādi tu trividyakāḥ
அந்த இருபிறப்பினர் ஐம்பத்தைந்து கிராமங்களில் குடியிருந்தனர். அவர்கள் ‘சாதுர்வித்யர்’ என அழைக்கப்பட்டனர்; அதன்பின் (மற்றோர்) ‘திரிவித்யகர்’ எனப்பட்டனர்॥
