Vyāsa (continuing narration)
Listener: Bhūpa (king)
Scene: A battlefield or camp where fallen soldiers revive as hairs are cast away; the sky clears, the four quarters brighten, and the earlier roaring tumult fades into stillness.
When dharma is re-established and śānti is performed, disorder subsides and life-supporting harmony returns.
The event unfolds in Dharmāraṇya; the holy atmosphere is shown through the pacification of the quarters.
Not a formal rite, but a śānti-act is implied in the sequence leading to pacification and restoration.
