युयुधे राक्षसेंद्रेण रावणेन हतोऽपतत् । माघासितनवम्यां तु वसंतीं रावणालये
yuyudhe rākṣaseṃdreṇa rāvaṇena hato'patat | māghāsitanavamyāṃ tu vasaṃtīṃ rāvaṇālaye
அவன் ராட்சசேந்திரன் ராவணனுடன் போரிட்டான்; அவனால் தாக்கப்பட்டு உயிர்நீத்துப் விழுந்தான். மாக மாதக் கிருஷ்ணபட்ச நவமியன்று அவள் ராவணனின் அரண்மனையில் தங்கியிருந்தாள்.
