यावत्त्रस्तमृगीदृष्टिं चपलां न विलोकयेत् । तावन्माता पिता तावद्धाता तावत्ससुहृज्जनः
yāvattrastamṛgīdṛṣṭiṃ capalāṃ na vilokayet | tāvanmātā pitā tāvaddhātā tāvatsasuhṛjjanaḥ
மனத்தை அலைக்கழிக்கும் சஞ்சலமான, அஞ்சும் மான்போன்ற பார்வையை நோக்காதவரை, தாய் தந்தையர் உண்மைப் பாதுகாவலர்; அதுவரை விதாதா துணை நிற்பான், நல்வாழ்த்தும் நண்பர்களும் உறுதியாக இருப்பர்।
