तमेवाराधयिष्यामि निरंजनमकल्मषः । एवं कृत्वा मतिं दैत्य स्तपस्तेपे सुदुष्करम् । भीतो जन्मभयाद्घोराद्दुष्करं यन्महात्मभिः
tamevārādhayiṣyāmi niraṃjanamakalmaṣaḥ | evaṃ kṛtvā matiṃ daitya stapastepe suduṣkaram | bhīto janmabhayādghorādduṣkaraṃ yanmahātmabhiḥ
“நான் அந்த நிரஞ்சனன், மாசற்ற இறைவனையே வழிபடுவேன்.” என்று உறுதி செய்து, அந்த தைத்யன் கொடிய மறுபிறப்பு அச்சத்தால் அஞ்சி, மகாத்மர்களுக்கும் கடினமான மிகுந்த தபத்தை மேற்கொண்டான்.
