व्यास उवाच । शृणु वत्स प्रवक्ष्यामि धर्म्मारण्ये नृपोत्तम । एकदात्र तपस्तप्तं विष्णुनाऽमिततेजसा
vyāsa uvāca | śṛṇu vatsa pravakṣyāmi dharmmāraṇye nṛpottama | ekadātra tapastaptaṃ viṣṇunā'mitatejasā
வ்யாசர் கூறினார்—குழந்தையே, கேள்; அரசர்களில் சிறந்தவனே, நான் உரைக்கிறேன். தர்ம்மாரண்யத்தில் ஒருமுறை அளவற்ற ஒளியுடைய விஷ்ணு தவம் செய்தார்.
