एकदा सूतमायांतं दृष्ट्वा तं शौनकादयः । परं हर्षं समाविष्टाः पपुर्नेत्रैः सुचेतसा । चित्राः श्रोतुं कथास्तत्र परिवव्रुस्तपस्विनः
ekadā sūtamāyāṃtaṃ dṛṣṭvā taṃ śaunakādayaḥ | paraṃ harṣaṃ samāviṣṭāḥ papurnetraiḥ sucetasā | citrāḥ śrotuṃ kathāstatra parivavrustapasvinaḥ
ஒருமுறை சூதர் வருவதைக் கண்ட சௌனக முதலிய ரிஷிகள் பேரானந்தத்தில் மூழ்கினர். அமைந்த மனத்துடன் அவர்கள் கண்களால் அவரைத் தானே ‘பருகினார்கள்’; வியத்தகு கதைகளை கேட்க ஆவலுடன் அந்தத் தபஸ்விகள் அங்கே அவரைச் சுற்றி கூடியனர்।
