एवमेता महानद्यस्तिस्रो रुद्रसमुद्भवाः । एका एव त्रिधा भूता गङ्गा रेवा सरस्वती
evametā mahānadyastisro rudrasamudbhavāḥ | ekā eva tridhā bhūtā gaṅgā revā sarasvatī
இவ்வாறு ருத்ரனிடமிருந்து தோன்றிய இம்மூன்று மகாநதிகள்; உண்மையில் ஒன்றே ஆனாலும், மூவகையாக கங்கை, ரேவா, சரஸ்வதி என வெளிப்பட்டன.
