श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । शृणु तीर्थप्रभावं ते संक्षेपात्कथयाम्यहम् । यद्वृत्तमुत्तरे कूले रेवाया उरिसंगमे
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | śṛṇu tīrthaprabhāvaṃ te saṃkṣepātkathayāmyaham | yadvṛttamuttare kūle revāyā urisaṃgame
ஸ்ரீ மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—கேள்; இந்தத் தீர்த்தத்தின் மகிமையை உனக்கு சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்கிறேன்—ரேவா (நர்மதா) நதியின் வடகரையில் ‘உரிசங்கமம்’ எனும் சங்கமத்தில் நிகழ்ந்தது.
