इत्यूचे देवदेवेशः क्षणं ध्यात्वेन्दुना ततः । स्थापितं परमं लिङ्गं कामदं प्राणिनां भुवि । सर्वदुःखहरं तत्तु ब्रह्महत्याविनाशनम्
ityūce devadeveśaḥ kṣaṇaṃ dhyātvendunā tataḥ | sthāpitaṃ paramaṃ liṅgaṃ kāmadaṃ prāṇināṃ bhuvi | sarvaduḥkhaharaṃ tattu brahmahatyāvināśanam
இவ்வாறு கூறி தேவர்களின் தேவன் சிறிது நேரம் தியானித்து, பின்னர் இந்து (சோமன்) மூலம் பூமியில் பரம லிங்கத்தை நிறுவினார்—அது உயிர்களுக்கு வேண்டுதலை நிறைவேற்றும், எல்லாத் துயரையும் அகற்றும், பிரம்மஹத்த்யா பாவத்தையும் அழிக்கும்.
