गतः पितामहं सोमो वेपमानोऽमृतांशुमान् । पद्मयोने नमस्तुभ्यं वेदगर्भ नमोऽस्तु ते । शरणं त्वां प्रसन्नोऽस्मि पाहि मां कमलासन
gataḥ pitāmahaṃ somo vepamāno'mṛtāṃśumān | padmayone namastubhyaṃ vedagarbha namo'stu te | śaraṇaṃ tvāṃ prasanno'smi pāhi māṃ kamalāsana
நடுக்கத்துடன், அமுதமயக் கதிர்களையுடைய சோமன் பிதாமகன் பிரம்மாவிடம் சென்று கூறினான்— “பத்மயோனி, உமக்கு வணக்கம்; வேதகர்பா, உமக்கு வணக்கம். நான் உம்மைச் சரணடைந்தேன்; அருள்புரிந்து என்னைக் காப்பாற்று, கமலாசனனே.”
