श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततो गच्छेत्तु राजेन्द्र मातृतीर्थमनुत्तमम् । सङ्गमस्य समीपस्थं नर्मदादक्षिणे तटे

ஸ்ரீ மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—ஓ அரசே, பின்னர் சங்கமத்தருகே நர்மதையின் தென் கரையில் உள்ள ஒப்பற்ற மாத்ருதீர்த்தத்திற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும்।
