Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Puṣkariṇī
Type: kund
Listener: King (nṛpa)
Scene: A devotee-king places a single barley grain crowned with a tiny gold piece into a priest’s palm beside the lotus pond; a subtle vision shows a radiant ‘lofty station’ (divya gati) opening above, signifying the promised state.
Sincerity and sacred context outweigh quantity: even a tiny offering, when made at a potent tīrtha with devotion, yields exalted results.
Puṣkariṇī tīrtha.
Offer dāna: even one barley-grain adorned with gold at Puṣkariṇī is praised as highly efficacious.
