காலையில் பிராமணர்களுக்கு அன்னம் அளித்து, தன் ஆற்றலுக்கு ஏற்ப தானம் செய்ய வேண்டும். பின்னர் நான்காம் நாளில் கிழக்கே ஓடும் சரஸ்வதி உள்ள இடத்திற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும்.
