ईश्वर उवाच । ततश्चानन्तरं राजा जगामोद्वेगमुत्तमम् । कथं यामि गृहं त्वद्य वाराणस्यामहं पुनः
īśvara uvāca | tataścānantaraṃ rājā jagāmodvegamuttamam | kathaṃ yāmi gṛhaṃ tvadya vārāṇasyāmahaṃ punaḥ
ஈசுவரன் கூறினார்—அதன்பின் அரசன் மிகுந்த கலக்கத்தில் ஆழ்ந்தான். “இன்று நான் வீட்டிற்கு எவ்வாறு செல்வேன்? மீண்டும் வாராணசிக்கு எவ்வாறு திரும்புவேன்?” என்றான்.
