ईश्वर उवाच । शृणुष्वैकमना भूत्वा कथां दिव्यां महीपते । श्रवणादेव यस्यास्तु मुच्यते सर्वकिल्बिषैः
īśvara uvāca | śṛṇuṣvaikamanā bhūtvā kathāṃ divyāṃ mahīpate | śravaṇādeva yasyāstu mucyate sarvakilbiṣaiḥ
ஈசுவரன் கூறினான்—ஹே மஹீபதே! ஒருமனத்துடன் இந்த திவ்யக் கதையை கேள்; இதைச் செவிமடுத்தாலே எல்லாப் பாவங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுதலை பெறுவர்.
