रेवातटं समासाद्य दानवस्तपसि स्थितः । उग्रं तपश्चचारासौ दारुणं लोमहर्षणम्
revātaṭaṃ samāsādya dānavastapasi sthitaḥ | ugraṃ tapaścacārāsau dāruṇaṃ lomaharṣaṇam
ரேவா நதிக்கரையை அடைந்து அந்த தானவன் தவத்தில் நிலைத்தான். அவன் கடுமையான தவத்தைச் செய்தான்—மிகக் கொடுமையும் மெய்சிலிர்க்கச் செய்வதுமாய்.
