अथान्ये दानवास्तत्र दह्यन्तेऽग्निविमोहिताः । न शक्ताश्चान्यतो गन्तुं धूमेनाकुलिताननाः । हंसकारण्डवाकीर्णा नलिन्यो हेमपङ्कजाः
athānye dānavāstatra dahyante'gnivimohitāḥ | na śaktāścānyato gantuṃ dhūmenākulitānanāḥ | haṃsakāraṇḍavākīrṇā nalinyo hemapaṅkajāḥ
அப்போது அங்கே மற்ற தானவர்களும் தீயால் மயங்கி எரிந்தனர். புகையால் முகங்கள் கலங்க, வேறெங்கும் செல்ல இயலவில்லை. அன்னங்களும் காரண்டவப் பறவைகளும் நிறைந்த தாமரைக் குளங்களில் பொன்னிறத் தாமரைகள் மலர்ந்தன।
