मार्कण्डेय उवाच । एतानि तव संक्षेपात्प्राधान्यात्कथितानि च । न शक्तो विस्तराद्वक्तुं संख्यां तीर्थेषु पाण्डव
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | etāni tava saṃkṣepātprādhānyātkathitāni ca | na śakto vistarādvaktuṃ saṃkhyāṃ tīrtheṣu pāṇḍava
மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—ஓ பாண்டவா! இத்தீர்த்தங்கள் உனக்கு சுருக்கமாக, அவற்றின் முதன்மையை முன்னிட்டு சொல்லப்பட்டன. தீர்த்தங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையை விரிவாக உரைக்க எனக்கு இயலாது.
