यम उवाच । न तु पूर्वं मुखं दृष्टं मया विश्वासघातिनाम् । ये मित्रद्रोहिणः पापास्तेषां किं शासनं भवेत्
yama uvāca | na tu pūrvaṃ mukhaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ mayā viśvāsaghātinām | ye mitradrohiṇaḥ pāpāsteṣāṃ kiṃ śāsanaṃ bhavet
யமன் கூறினான்—“நம்பிக்கையைத் துரோகிப்பவர்களின் முகத்தையே நான் முன்பு ஒருபோதும் கண்டதில்லை. நண்பருக்கு துரோகம் செய்கிற பாவிகளுக்கு என்ன தண்டனை இருக்க வேண்டும்?”
