पुरा कृतयुगस्यादौ वैश्यः कश्चिन्महामनाः । सुकेश इति विख्यातस्तस्य पुत्रोऽतिधार्मिकः
purā kṛtayugasyādau vaiśyaḥ kaścinmahāmanāḥ | sukeśa iti vikhyātastasya putro'tidhārmikaḥ
முன்னொரு காலத்தில், க்ருதயுகத்தின் தொடக்கத்தில், ‘சுகேச’ எனப் பெயர்பெற்ற ஒரு உயர்ந்த மனமுடைய வைசியன் இருந்தான்; அவனுடைய மகன் மிகுந்த தர்மநிஷ்டையுடையவன்.
