ततः प्रोवाच वचनं हृष्टपुष्टो द्विजोत्तमः । वरदोऽस्मि वरं वत्स वृणु यत्तव रोचते
tataḥ provāca vacanaṃ hṛṣṭapuṣṭo dvijottamaḥ | varado'smi varaṃ vatsa vṛṇu yattava rocate
அப்போது மகிழ்ந்து வளமுற்ற சிறந்த பிராமணன் கூறினான்— “குழந்தையே, நான் வரம் அளிப்பவன்; உனக்குப் பிடித்த வரத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடு।”
