agnipuṃjanibhākārā viśālā śālmalī parā | ityādayastathaivānye śatasāhasrasaṃjñitāḥ

அக்னிக் குவியலைப் போன்ற வடிவமுடைய, மிக விரிந்த பரம ஷால்மலீ (நரகம்) உள்ளது. இவ்வாறே இன்னும் பல நரகங்கள் கூறப்படுகின்றன—அவற்றின் பெயர்கள் நூறாயிரக் கணக்கில் உள்ளன।
