samāgatau tadā dṛṣṭau madhye jvalitapāvakau | puṇyapāpāni jantūnāṃ śrutismṛtyarthapāragau

அப்போது இருவர் அங்கே வந்தவர்களாகக் காணப்பட்டனர்; அவர்கள் எரியும் தீயின் நடுவே நின்றனர். அவர்கள் உயிர்களின் புண்ணிய-பாபங்களை ஆராய்வோர்; ஸ்ருதி-ஸ்மிருதி பொருள்களில் தேர்ந்தோர்.
