श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । आत्मानं वञ्चितं ज्ञात्वा तदा संगृह्य वायसौ । प्रेषयामास तीव्रेण दण्डेन यमसादनम्
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | ātmānaṃ vañcitaṃ jñātvā tadā saṃgṛhya vāyasau | preṣayāmāsa tīvreṇa daṇḍena yamasādanam
ஸ்ரீ மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—தன்னை ஏமாற்றப்பட்டவன் என அறிந்து, அவன் அப்போது அந்த இரு காக்களையும் பிடித்து, கடும் தண்டனையால் யமனின் இல்லத்துக்கு (மரணத்திற்கு) அனுப்பினான்.
